BSNL's 4G service will be launched soon, cheap Monopole network will be installed

 

 

This year Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL is going to launch their own 4G service across the country. Despite lagging far behind private telecom operators like Reliance Jio, Airtel or Vi, the company is expected to see success in the end. BSNL has teamed up with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a reputed company, as a technical assistant to expand the network of 4G networks across the country. 

The two companies are currently working together to enable them to launch 4G services based on domestic technology very quickly. In that case, this is the first time TCS has entered the telecom equipment manufacturing business.

BSNL will use affordable Monopole towers to provide enhanced 4G services

BSNL's Consumer Mobility Director Sushil Kumar Mishra said in a statement that they are going to use Monopole Tower instead of Smart Tower to provide better 4G services to the customers. Mishra said the state-owned BSNL had taken such a decision as the installation of the monopoly tower was relatively affordable.

BSNL will set up a total of 1 lakh telecom towers across the country

BSNL incumbent Sushil Kumar Mishra further claimed that his company would set up a total of 1 lakh towers across the country in case of launching 4G network. Of these, about 4,000 towers will sit in Bihar.

Mishra added that in the future, customers living in Mumbai and Delhi will be able to use BSNL's 4G services. In that case, they will get a taste of the service in question this year.

Asked when BSNL could launch their 4G network, Mishra said they would launch the 4G network this year ahead of Independence Day. Earlier, Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also said that BSNL would launch its much-awaited 4G service in mid-August 2022 with government support.

It is pertinent to mention that BSNL is currently working on 4G trials with the Center for Development of Telematics or C-DoT and TCS. It is rumored that the company may complete the trial in February. If successful, BSNL will be able to place an order for 4G equipment in April, which will enable the state-owned company to soon launch a 4G network built entirely on domestic technology.
